Welcome back! Glad you’re feeling better! 😀December 26, 2018 at 10:32 pm #13267
Wow, I am in tears at the outpouring of support. Thank you, everyone, so very much.December 28, 2018 at 8:05 pm #13332
Well, looking forward to the stink hot spring.
Assuming Aria doesn’t bump us along with an event, any thoughts on the next step?
Is a supply run into a small town before we hit the actual Refuge interesting (Ilario should go over well in a small Rocky Mountain town)?
Or jump ahead to trying to get past the military cordon around Yellowstone?December 28, 2018 at 8:13 pm #13333
@adamu You say refuge and all I can think of is a made-for-TV Western called “Purgatory.”December 28, 2018 at 8:39 pm #13338
*snort* Ilario in a small town? Yeah, that’d go over well XDDecember 29, 2018 at 4:26 pm #13361
Small town could be funny as hell. With this party, it’s like the start of a bad joke.
Sorry for the reticence. Christmas took a bit more time than expected, work’s been kicking my ass the last few days, and I’m in a weird place with two of my characters on here. Should lighten up tonight.December 29, 2018 at 4:44 pm #13362
Sian might not do well in a small town. She does much better in larger cities where she can troll the crime districts for thugs that need to be killed and discarded.December 29, 2018 at 5:20 pm #13365
Although it would be really funny to go to a small town, it runs a bit counter to our mission. Unless of course we could secure discreet transportation to our destination there…December 29, 2018 at 5:26 pm #13367
Yeah – as evidenced by the last encounter, we are illegals here in Sioux territory.
So attracting attention is definitely contraindicated.
At the same time, we’re in for a week or more of walking and camping – I know we haven’t been very specific about what supplies we were given at the T-bird, but I really doubt it was a week’s supplies, especially since we were forced to ditch much earlier than planned.
So we need supplies, but quietly….
Just a thought – more than one way to skin a cat, of course.January 2, 2019 at 5:16 am #13454
@jack_spade re Maw, would it be worth working in Foxglove and Babe in on this as they’ve joined the immortal crazies??
@All Catching up on threads now, should be able to post soon…January 2, 2019 at 10:22 am #13463
I’d say most definitely 😀
The game suffers a bit from low participation.January 2, 2019 at 2:30 pm #13473January 3, 2019 at 4:37 am #13502
Heh heh heh
Also: Yay! Another game! 😀January 3, 2019 at 6:01 am #13503
Can I suggest that your characters are together and known to one of us? Obi is a fellow elf so that’s a possibility… Ryl has plenty of contacts and you might have been travelling with her?!? If you can stomach dragon spawn…January 5, 2019 at 2:15 pm #13559
We can probably go with that. Question before I go on a spree here, though: Mercy seems to have vanished, likely due to something medical. Are we on hold vis a vis any threads with Mercy in them for a bit, or should we go ahead? I can have Calista extricate herself from Robyn for the moment, for example.January 5, 2019 at 7:05 pm #13564
I am back and so sorry about the disappearance. A couple of days in hospital is highly recommended for a short holiday. I feel a bit better and stronger, though. I think I caught a bug of some kind that just would not go away and had me back losing weight when I can ill afford to do that.
I think I can support the Maw additions, but I do think that their in should probably be through Rhyl or Kaleb. Of course, just as those two, it is not impossible that they might have heard of Sian in the past.January 6, 2019 at 6:15 am #13574
Great to hear you are better.
My suggestion would be for Ryl to introduce some friends that she informed about the problems at hand.January 6, 2019 at 1:01 pm #13586
That certainly works for me. Any guidelines about how Alessandra/Ilario should appear?January 6, 2019 at 1:13 pm #13589
Not really, just something like “Aren’t you going to introduce us…”January 6, 2019 at 9:34 pm #13597
Kaleb is Idhrenohtar’s persona (a strong Physical mask) while in Egypt. Idhrenohtar was/is a Martial Adept who choose the Magician’s way to become a powerful sorcerer. He followed Alachia to the Blood Forest and lived through the Ritual of Thorn to escape the Horror. In a way he seems quite similar to Ilario. outside of dedicating themselves to very different path. It makes no doubt the two have met and know of each other, in spite of Idhrenohtar’s secretive nature. Alessandra’s sheet is not up so I wouldn’t know how they can relate though if I followed properly, she too has been a follower of Alachia and lived through the Ritual of Thorns.
Idhrenohtar has since revolted againt the elf Queen, following Harlequin’s ideas and views. He is in good term with the Seelie Court where his official allegiance lies. So they could have connection there. His true loyalty is to Harlequin whom he befriended in the Blood Forest.
Idhrenohtar lives through the eras under different personas. So they may know of him, but not necessary remember crossing path with him personally, they could have just interact with a personas of his. The only traits he usually keeps (though not always, depending on the circumstances and view of the time) is his face tattoo, that a good memory could potentially if hardly recognize.
I’m with @Jake_Spade that simply been invited by Ryl would suffice to pop up at this time of the story.
