Well, to be fair the most vicious attack is probably ramming a bike 😉
but it’ll take a combat turn for the window to drop, yes.
Initative: 9+1d6 10 – he does not have thermo vision – so he will command his spirit to help Jawsi.
Initiative 18 Mato. Evasive driving
I rolled for the bikes attacking, but I will wait because Bobby would be the first to act (Improve reflexes) – so he might do something unexpected.February 1, 2019 at 4:22 pm #15589
oops, I did forget the extra die from the focus, you are right (I was just looking at the skill). And yes, astral combat is VERY niche, but I was in the mood both to give it a try, and to make something different with Jawsey.
Back to the dice.
With four actions baseline, Jawsey can now afford to go to full defense, dropping his init to 21 and taking his dodge pool to 15 dice:
astral dodge (full D): 15d6t5 4 phew, good thing for full D!February 1, 2019 at 4:26 pm #15591
Nice dodge;)February 1, 2019 at 4:44 pm #15594
In less than an hour I’ll probably be offline for the following ~48 hours. If people are carrying on over the weekend, could Jack_Spade puppet Jawsey? (since Bobby isn’t super involved right now). The next target should be the dual-natured biker, if he is still dual-natured by that point (he might use his action to drop astral sight?). But there could also be a defense roll before then if the mage attacks instead of retreating. I’m willing for Jawsey to use an edge point to avoid taking serious damage (he has 2/4 edge left currently), or other things could change.
I will hopefully get caught up Sunday evening (eastern NA time), else next Monday.February 1, 2019 at 4:59 pm #15596
I thought about side-swiping – and still may in the future – but Mato is somewhat protective about the car. Maybe he’s feeling cost-conscious, but he doesn’t want to bang up the team’s respectable “work vehicle”, especially on the way to a meet at a hotel whose security might frown on a car full of bullet holes, or a broken windshield with pieces of ganger in the windshield wipers. Hence, his decision to declare Evasive Driving, and to not ram the goons.
But if they actually put holes in the car… God help them, we’re going to end up with the opening sequence to Logan.February 1, 2019 at 6:30 pm #15597
it’s been a very long day and I just got home.
Bobby is currently at Ini: 11+4d6 26
He is hampered by the smoke, so the best he can offer is shooting with his taser at the bikes:
Simple Action: Attribute boost AGI: 8d6t5 3
Simple Action: Assensing
Free action: Open Window
Free action: wireless on on laser sight:
5 AGI + 6 Skill + 1 Laser – 2 Astral sight distraction – 2 shooting from moving car
Shoot: Shoot Bike from moving vehicle: 8d6t5 1
I’ll put up a post tomorrow.February 1, 2019 at 6:50 pm #15600
Gilga said lowering the windows would take a combat turn, although maybe Bobby only needs a crack at the top to stick his taser out.February 1, 2019 at 10:42 pm #15601
fire!: 4#8d6t5 3 3 1 5
The leader will use the lightning bolt spell to try and disable the car.
Lighting bolt F6: 12d6t5 5 I am not sure if he should get a negative because he is on a bike (as this is not strictly firing), let’s err on the side of caution and give him -2. – so it is just 4 hits.
Ginsburg commands his spirit, Ginsburg starts astral perception.
Ginsburg’s spirit will go for the leader biker.
Initative: 12+2d6 23
Let’s see how Mato copes with all the dodging he needs to do before I post another IC. If he is hit, the damage is 8P -1AP (explosive rounds).
Bikers (all 5) – control vehicle.
Init16: Bobby shoots Taser and misses. (You can shoot, next round the windows would be fully down. They are somewhere in between. )
Dodge: 8d6t5 5
Bikers driving tests (threshold 2 to stay in combat).
Driving: 4#9d6t5 2 3 1 3
A single biker lags behind, the rest remain in pursuit.

Are there specific modifiers I’m suppose to incorporate into the dodge rolls? Specifically, burst fire negative modifiers?
For now, I’m going to presume that they’re firing with one hand and thus might not be using long/full bursts for recoil purposes. I’ll take a -2 modifier to each dodge, which assumes a 3-round burst. I’ll also incorporate the accumulating -1 penalties for dodging subsequent attacks. I’ll dodge in the same order that Gilga posted the rolls.
vs. 3 hits: Reaction 8 + Intuition 6 + Evasive Driving 6 – Burst Fire 2: 18d6t5 6 hits, dodged
vs 3 hits: Reaction 8 + Intuition 6 + Evasive Driving 6 – Burst Fire 2 – Second Attack 1: 17d6t5 4 hits, dodged
vs 1 hit: Reaction 8 + Intuition 6 + Evasive Driving 6 – Burst Fire 2 – Third Attack 2: 16d6t5 6 hits, dodged
vs 5 hits: Reaction 8 + Intuition 6 + Evasive Driving 6 – Burst Fire 2 – Fourth Attack 3: 15d6t5 5 hits, grazing hit, maybe cosmetic damage
vs 4 hits (lightning bolt): Reaction 8 + Intuition 6 + Evasive Driving 6 – Fifth Attack 4: 16d6t5 5 hits, dodgedFebruary 2, 2019 at 6:24 am #15609
Alright, fair enough nice!February 2, 2019 at 8:23 am #15614February 2, 2019 at 2:27 pm #15624
He is dead alright.
The remaining spirit will target Jawsei as he is the most effective fighter.
Astral combat: 12d6t5 4February 5, 2019 at 12:15 pm #15685
Seems like we’re ready to advance.February 12, 2019 at 4:50 pm #15849
Okay, if you are not bringing weapons, feel free to move until the buyer.
