With the logic preparation running and Al’s matter of fact way of explaining things, using the “link” to search the “matrix” (she still tended to think of them as phone and internet) seemed pretty straightforward. She almost felt like she should be able to figure out new searches on her own. Almost.

But soon the preparation was done doing its magic, she pocketed her link, and headed back towards the truck, to start practicing this killer martial art that Al had loaned her the chip for. It was certainly dramatic and visually impressive, and the instructor was attractive for a human. And she was happy that it didn’t have her start with some endless series of inane drills, but instead soon had her doing vicious little kicks, power-pack punches, and ‘dragon-wing’ blocks that she liked to think of as eagle wing blocks instead.
