Isaint tried to keep a calm, measured tone with his response, although the thought of a suicide bomber in this rather sensitive area of this huge deathtrap aka normal pressure aquacology made a few droplets of sweat run down his back.
“Now, there is no need for drastic measures like that.
Let’s solve that in a civilized fashion – starting with a little introduction: I am Isaint and my mission coming down here was to meet Monarch to get some answers for my client’s questions.
Now, since I don’t hold with necromancy that part of the mission is pretty much over – no hard feelings, you win some, you lose some. You as his bodyguards are also no longer in his employment. There really is no need to waste bullets and risk your life anymore. Especially not to fight me or my group.
But shooting your former colleague also won’t undo the damage. Obviously, you all are highly trained and talented individuals. I therefore assume you can put feelings of betrayal aside for the moment and focus on salvaging this situation.
By the way, are your names by any chance Abe, Bea and Cid?

For convenience sake I’ll call “Just following orders” guy Cid. That ok with you Cid?

Cid, you seem to be a highly determined person – I can’t imagine that you would betray your employer without a very good reason. You are even prepared to kill yourself rather than answer questions. That means whoever gave you orders has likely leverage on you and people you care for. I mean, anything else would be rather stupid to throw your life away for. So, wouldn’t you prefer to get out here alive and maybe be reunited with whoever you left behind?

There still is a chance to do that.”
