It had taken an agonizingly long three seconds to get most of his defenses back up. Though this time he was ready to counter another attempt to taint the ambience around him. Clarity had returned and Ulrich recognized that someone had cut off their retreat. That was the first thing he had to deal with. So he banished all distractions and called up a dome of mental energy like before with the toad constructs – only this time he needed just one to collide with the opponent construct. He felt his superior construct almost falter, but then overcome the barrier. His barrier had the added benefit that an enemy awakened would have to come closer to mess with him, allowing him to charge them.
