Ulrich didn’t sleep – for one thing he wouldn’t have been able to keep up the powers. So instead he meditated, while the autodoc did its work. A little diagram showed which parts of his body had suffered trauma – mostly his head it seemed. It was a bit like he’d been in a boxing match. No one punch had knocked him out, but the accumulated stress was clearly visible. It helped that he had a new mind shard in him that improved his bodily resilience. But while he healed, the mind shard was still free to act independently. The safehouse was as central a place as anything and he had a lot of time on his hands now – relatively speaking. So he let his mind shard extend it’s metaphysical feelers and search for Silk.
