Taking the underground passage with their bikes showed how wise it had been to use off-road bikes as traversing the tracks with anything else would have destroyed even my resilient spine within minutes. Even so it was not exactly a fun ride. The machine’s low light setting was enough to illuminate our way forward with no obstacle in sight. So far we had been lucky not to meet anyone who could actually threaten us. Down here we would have to watch out a lot more.
<<We are currently traversing the bay tunnel. Once we are through we’ll be under the Hub. From there we’ll be confronted with a lot of diverging lanes, service tunnels and abandoned stations. Now that the tube service has stopped you can bet that we’ll meet quite a few squatters and some light sensitive dual natured pests. So stay sharp.>>
