[Caroline Chapelle – 02:00, Monday March 22nd, 2077 – In the air, Between France and South-America] #48

Caroline yawned, barely hiding it behind one hand. She looked groggily at the cup in her hands, then at Rhea, parsing what was just asked of her
“If nothing happened by now, it’s likely nothing will. Or the spirit could be there just to track us, and a more powerful one will be sent to its location later. No way to know.”

She yawned some more, and downed a good half of her mug, before handing it out to Milo “I’ll see if I can find out who sent that spirit to us. It’ll take time though, assuming I even succeed.” She paused, focusing on something no one but her could see for a minute. Then, something took shape beside her:

“This is Talis. If you need to tell me anything, just tell her, she’ll relay it to me.” Talis didn’t seem to acknowledge anything, and instead looked around, appearing quite interested by what she saw. After that, she sat back and slumped, obviously gone in the Astral.

Using the fuselage of the plane to hide herself from the spying spirit, she reappeared in its back, and tried to find the link that would bring her to its summoner. She could have pretended the fact that they were both moving at the speed of a flying plane made things difficult but the simple truth was that she wasn’t really good at this sort of things. To put things nicely. As it was, after a couple of false starts leading nowhere, and a few hours spent with nothing to show for it, she had to admit there was no way she’d manage to find the summoner. Not like that anyway. There was maybe a solution but… She went back to her body, and called for Rhea “I couldn’t find anything, it’s really not my forte. There is however something I could try, and that is directly asking the spirit. It’s obviously a bit risky but if it’s bored, and the summoner didn’t order it to stay quiet, it may answer my questions…”
