Sian has no problem letting the Dryad go and nods her head to Shrike. As the nominal leader here, it is his call. Once the decision is made and the short break is over, she climbs back on the bike along with the others and they head off farther into the tunnel.

The first people they pass are groups of three or four who seem more interested in struggling over whatever scraps of food they had found in the main tunnel or one of the smaller branches that seemed to pop into view with greater frequency the farther the quartet traveled. The bike headlamps scattered more than a few groups of large rats and humanoids that did not stick around long enough to be identified as human or ghoul. The uneven ground flashed by in an almost dizzying vision as the bikes moved around and over obstacles in the way.

A dim light ahead signaled some degree of civilization, even in this place. Rounding a corner, the bikers see two large spotlights jutting from the left-hand wall of the passage, one on each side of what looks to be a side tunnel that has been blocked off with a razor wire and steel girder gate. There are three dimly seen figures in some sort of FBA standing just on the inside of the gate and there are signs posted on the corridor wall and the gate itself that indicate in several languages that trespassers with be shot.

Sian sends out a short message to the team. >>Hey, do we want to stop and ask these people for information about what we might find up ahead?<<
