Here is what I was thinking:

Blood Elf, that at the time of the 3113 thread was in what he describes as “The Time of Thorns.” After the thorns went away, he turns to ritual scarification. He also starts the day with a cutting to remind himself of that time. (Pie Iesu Domine. Dona Eis Requiem. Negative Quality) I was also thinking this would be a variation of the Tattoo Magic technique (Street Grimiore pg 131)

I gathered that most characters have a master, so I was thinking my characters’ would be in the Unseelie Court. I was hoping to get some ideas of who might be who among them, to pick a master from. The best I could find was Rhiva Dhillon from Court of Shadows.

Needless to say, I am planning on Blood Magic.

If any of this is a problem, lemme know. I can adapt as needed.
