The GM’s posts were anywhere from 3 to 10 days apart on average. He skipped posting for four weeks of January and two weeks of February. At some point it’s only natural for the players to wander off. Posts are the lifeblood of PbP games, and if you don’t have posts then you don’t have a game.I don’t know what sort of a build “party chick” is. To Mercy’s point, we don’t have much firepower at the moment, so that could be an opening for Pale Horse to take another ride. The chargen rules here are generous enough that she could be rebuilt to use multiple weapon types if you wanted, not just pistols.

Well, Tanya knows Al and it looks like she knows Danzig, as well. Not sure if anyone else wants to get on that bandwagon. It is almost certain that if your character has lived in Seattle for any length of time that you would have heard of Lady Tanya Marisart, unless you lived under a rock. She is very much involved in high society and has been rumored to be romantically linked with many of the eligible bachelors, as well as some of the married ones and a few women. Some of thos involved in the seedier side of life might also know her in her profession as thief. I leave it up to you as to whether or not you want to have some knowledge of her. I am more than willing to flesh out any sort of background you want on her.
For example, I would think that Becky would at least know of her in social and business circles. Tanya has spent years cultivating sources in the Mafia and may even have been at her original boss’ house. She has certainly done work for the Mafia, stealing things for them on occasion,
I do know that Al is proficient with some form of long range firepower and it appears that Gladius will be able to give support with spells, if that helps any.

That’s fine, this is a high level game. You can try to persuade me to allow 3 a’s But I’d want to see how the character was panning out before agreeing finally

Tecumseh has suggested that mundanes be allowed to spend their last priority on an additional cash allocation rather than on E so feel free to try out that but only an E or D as extra cash-could be another 150000 Nuyen to balance those Uber awakened ?
I reserve the right to veto still if it looks too hideous but I’ve never had to exercise that yet!!

I’m not quite sure that I understand — in ‘sum to’ creation an E priority isn’t costing any priority point. Rather than guessing, I’m going to ask for an example. Let’s say that currently I was using
Metatype: B (3 points)
Attributes: A (4 points)
Magic: E (0 points)
Skills: A (4 points)
Resources: B (3 points)What would this new system mean?
(and to add: I wasn’t worried about keeping-up-with-the-awakened, but hey, I’ll make use of what options are offered!)

In the instance above instead of spending ‘0’ on E and being mundane you can spend ‘0’ on E resources in addition to the ‘B’ you’ve got there (and still be mundane). Or you could reduce one of your other choices by 1 and get an additional ‘D’ in resources… does that make sense??

Electric Muppet: well, a) we have no decker at the moment, and b) Aria just played a technomancer in Texas Hold’em. So I think you are good …. until we sell you to Renraku to get access to some restricted information, but that is always a hazard when playing technomancers 😉

@Aria Thank you for the advice. I have now read the section you indicated, plus more, and have come to the conclusion that Tanya is probably a Hooder at heart. She gives financial support to two orphanages and several street clinics in depressed areas of Seattle, as well as funding or partially funding several university scholarships for deserving young people.
The big question Al and I are working on is her most ambitious project yet. She wants to build a modern hospital and research facility in Chinatown in an effort to give the Triads there a reason to stop human trafficking and drug smuggling/distribution. One of the problems is raising the necessary capital, which Adamu has pointed out could be in excess of a billion nuyen, and likely more. I am open to any ideas from anyone that would help her dream become reality.

That sounds like it would be a pretty complicated process, @Mercy. The funding is likely beyond even the most successful runners, so it would require convincing someone else to fund it — government (unlikely due to little money), a corp (would have to give them motivation to do it), a major non-corp foundation or policlub (but the big ones in the 6th world aren’t so interested in hospitals?), or some combination of those. Since none of them are apt to be looking to build a hospital, it becomes a challenge to motivate them to do it. Hmmm, if only there were highly trained professionals with limited regard for the law who were good at applying pressure to powerful people …. 😀

@mercy seriously; you should get other interested parties involved mom’s of metals,anti – gang initiative other streets levels groups along with universities. Universities love these projects as it distracts from their selective entrance requirements.

@Mercy: as Beta points out hospitals are massive projects, and whilst I don’t know a huge amount about the American healthcare system I can’t see the corps allowing anything that represents competition!? A health centre might be a more realistic proposition?
The reason I highlighted the section in Better Than Bad though was the bit about creating a vacuum… remove the Triad from those illegal activities and another syndicate is going to want to step in to ‘help out’
But I applaud her ambition!

Don’t forget a hospital is expensive to build, but massively expensive to run! No one individual (apart perhaps from the Bill Gates of this world) have the capital for that!?
