Something seems to be wrong with the T&T thread. It shows Al as the last poster, but I am. I logged off to see if that was the issue, but it has not corrected itself.

@Aria – description doesn’t quite seem to match my memory, but this cyber guy with the Azzie sigils isn’t one of the cyberzombies from Boston is he?

Nope, he is not… there are some similarities but he is not either Zig or Zag

Vindariel opens up with a bull’s eye burst:
    Bullseye Burst: 15d6t5 8

    DV 13 AP -20 + Net successes

I hope that I am reading the counterspelling right. The points refresh each combat round, correct? In any case, I hope that they help here.

In case they don’t, Al will help hold the weapon.

Teamwork to help Shrike hold the weapon: 10d6t5 3

I don’t think spell def dice work as you’d have covered Shrike rather than his kit… Jack may have a better RAW view of that?? Dispelling the active spell might be an option but word to the wise it’s force 16 (reduced by Shrikes void – which is either 3 or 4 I can’t remember off hand…)

Not much option but to resist: There is a sling on the weapon. If it goes over, Shrike does too.
The levitation is an attack against Shrike, so spell defense should work
    Anyway: Spending Edge –
    Resist: 16d6h5 8 [16d6h5=1, 3, 3, [6, 1], 5, 4, 5, [6, 2], 5, 2, 5, 3, 4, 4, [6, 2], 5]
If Al’s help or Sian’s counterspell grants me another success, Vindariel should be able to avoid getting tossed into the Abyss.
    Counter Spell: 6d6t5 3

Hey guys, like the rest of us, I am truly disappointed that we are not hearing anything from BB and Fox.

    Hoping they resurface.

But it’s getting a bit weird role-playing as if three silent immortal elves/super-spirits are lingering around but doing and saying nothing.

Should we puppet them? Say they are watching the entrance? Got slaughtered by Horrors from a wandering monster roll? Went along the chasm edge in the other direction to cover more ground?
Maybe there were TWO fovae in the cavern, and they are checking out the other one???

Or maybe I’m just being anal….

Yeah, a discreet group split is likely the best way to handle this.

I agree the above that we should do a discreet group split for the time being. I do hope that they come back to us.

If the counterspelling does apply, Sian has 16 dice plus an F5 focus. Let me know and I will roll the dice.

I have taken Jungle Drums to an underground city that I think is a good place for what we are looking for. I do not know how much farther to take things, but it seems to be an adequate place to have the other group portal to. What does everyone think?

I’ve got my ‘evil GM’ hat on and I’m on the case!!

Just a thought after reading some threads on SG recently… how long was it since Sian fed? A protracted meta plane jaunt may throw up some interesting issues… I can’t see the current PCs offering themselves up for lunch!!

Note: she needs to drink blood every day even if she doesn’t drain essence!

Sian carries a small supply of blood with her. It is in the refrigerated container in her backpack.

Cross-posted with Jack, so I edited my post to adjust.

Wow, I do hope that I am doing this correctly.

    Casting Levitate on an unwilling person. Magic 10 + skill 8 + specialization 2 + Force 10 + Focus 6 = 36d

Cast Levitate: 36d6t5 12, so 10 hits based on Magic level.

Drain is physical because hits were greater than Magic level. Drain is 8d + 3d for Reckless Spellcasting = 11d

    Drain: 11d6t5 3

    Resist Drain with 13d

    Resist Drain: 13d6t5 2

    Use Edge to roll misses.

    Edge for misses: 11d6t5 5

    Drain resisted.

Al can resit with Str + Wil, but I did get 10 hits.

Please let me know if this looks right. If successful, Sian will levitate Al up and back to four feet from her location.

Cool – dice. Thought we weren’t doing that in this game.

Well, could be cool to see if Al can resist….I already ICed that he failed, but I can always have him find some inner reserves of strength…make you guys really work to save him….

Whoa, I even Edged it and you totally got me (thank goodness). Pre-edge roll to kill myself: 23d6h5 5
Now just try not to get shot….

Holy crap! I did not think that you would have that many dice.

If she turns you around to face the other direction, you would need one heck of a trick shot to get her. Besides, she is very well armored and might survive your shot.

Yeah, Al has lots of dice.

And this was the perfect time to get a historically crappy roll.

Ten is tough to beat anyway, though. Good on you.

That was a pretty bad roll. Lucky for Sian.
