@beta early in the chat said he believed that being runners we would be able to get the right gear,so I did. Being prime runner Builds Knowing a few fixers and a smugglers or two I thought would Have given you access to many toys.

@Aria The squishing herself into a crate was supposed to be more colour than mechanical — after all, we didn’t say how big the crate is 🙂 So all of that should be fine. Just hard to pack a motorcycle or the like, but I think Al is bringing enough vehicles for everybody
@Electric_Muppet yup, Bronwyn has been wandering, I presume she brought reasonable gear with her.
@Adamu I’m starting up some action at the bar, feel free to have Al arrive at any point — the actual meet won’t occur without him!

@Aria – Snakehandler would be cool, but it’s a seaplane. Oops.
@Beta – for gear, I’m just going to go with off the shelf. Al simply will not wear any other jacket but his father’s, which is woefully inadequate. But I’m assuming he can go to any high-end sporting goods shop and get some bad-ass thermal underoos and get a set of arctic grade coveralls plus gloves and cap. Same as I did for my New Year trip to Iceland.
Since he also refuses to wear any armor but his father’s jacket, no muss no fuss with fancy gear. I’ll drop a thousand nuyen and slap it on my sheet.

Adam: sorry, I should have written in a fixer reaching out to Al (I hadn’t at first because I was waiting to see where he was).
FWIW, the Sudbury basin is surrounded by the ‘Laurentian Shield’ (billion year old mountains scraped down to their roots by successive ice ages), which is basically bush plane country — all the hills and swamps and creeks and rivers make roads hard, but all the lakes make for plenty of landing spots for pontoons in the Summer and skis once frozen over solidly … I don’t suppose the Snakehandler can convert to skis?
But driving is fine, I’m sure it won’t be the first time Al has driven all night. And Lilly linking up with Al is not crazy, she might wonder if Feather has also called on him? That would let her bring along as much as she wanted.

Haven’t taken the time to comb through all the old runs, but I am pretty sure that while Al knows Kynos from a couple of Seattle jobs (anarchy thing and Triads, I think), maybe none of the other three characters have worked with him? Not that you might not know him otherwise, or also I could be forgetting something.

That matches my memory too… I was playing Feral in the Triads thing so Lily just knows Al and Becky, don’t think she’s had the pleasure of Batshit’s company yet either

Sorry it took so long to follow-up on the discussion. And for the false-start on the meet — I figured the fixers would want to look over the team since they’ve not worked with the characters before, but maybe not a good call to slow down getting into the meat of things.

Sorry on the slowness, life busier than I’d anticipated. If I hit days where I’ll only get one post in I’ll try to dump a fair bit of data to let you all have something to work with. That is always an awkward part with the reward structure in these games (note that in Aria’s 6th edition games, the rewards got changed a bit to make the initial negotiation matter more).
I can throw out a number with something like “Plus some bonus based on danger experienced” or something, maybe? To provide the IC justification for whatever haul you all leave with?

Well, negotiations are a bit strange in these games. On one hand, it is clear to me that Becky would do it for the money (few legitimate jobs pay as much). Then again, it has no effect on the game.
