Jawsey takes a moment to inhale the aroma of his tea, letting the implied ‘but’ float in the air for a few seconds. “That aroma really does make me feel that serenity is possible.“

In my homeland it led to great violence inflicted by some tribes on other, and eventually control by our neighbours. Andrew does not seem like the sort who would take especially well to being directly doubted, but Jawsey does want to get the point across, even if he has to be polite about it. What people like the Halloweeners might do to non-gang members made him feel a bit terrified. What he’d wanted to say was “make the Crimson Crush and the Halloweeners stronger, are you fragging crazy?”
