The Found Arcana – Chapter 5 [OOC]
-
My turn for the 30 C temperatures. My brain is mush. I’ll try to get something up tomorrow.
-
IC is up.
I had forgotten to finish off Lysander’s conversation with Bobby, so I backtracked a bit and added that.
Some of the Redmond Civic Center descriptions are the same as before. I repeated these because the initial descriptions were from 4.5 months ago (!) and I don’t expect anyone to remember them. Other descriptions have changed because it’s a different day. I’ve mostly called those out.
-
stopping Jawsey’s monologue for now, so that a) Jack and Gilga can chime in, b) it isn’t too much of a wall of text, and c) Tecumseh can ask for dice rolls or have the npcs get a word in sideways 😀
-
That’s a rock-solid composure roll.
I’m not planning on rolls unless you want to outright lie about something.
Mostly I’m curious about what parts you leave in, what parts you leave out, what you take credit for, etc. As a reminder, the Mayor asked for three good “wedges”, acknowledging in advance that she’s playing the long game.
-
AM would use the improve charisma spell prior to entering the building to give her more confidence during the meeting. (unless it is warded and such, and in that case she would not bother.).

Alright, going back through the first couple pages of posts it looks like I was a bit inconsistent with my math. I’ll edit the misleading post.
The original offer was 30,000 for the agency. You negotiated for an extra 1,000 each for gambling/expenses, and 3,000 to be paid in advance. So the final take is 33,000, of which you received 12,000 yesterday and the remaining 21,000 today.
Edit: Scratch that, the post is so old I can’t edit it anymore. If you see a post on page 2 that gives a different amount, ignore it. I either did the math wrong or I fatfingered the amount when I was typing it out.
-
This is all ‘agency money’ so in the end 8.25knY each, yah? (while the money from Lysander, that was largely paid for from the souls of the three involved, so I presume a three way split there?)
-
That would be the most reasonable approach.
You also paid Lysander 300 nuyen for information early on. Not sure if Bobby already deducted that or not.
We’re at the end of the month so Lifestyles and debt payments will be due soon.
-
Oh and we’ll meet with Andrew next, so don’t do all the math yet.
-
Yeah, I’ll wait until we have finished this run completely, before counting.
A rouch estimate right now is
+3333 from Lysander
-300 for Lysander
+20 from the father I lend the 500 to
+11000 from the mayor
=14053 = after taxes 11945
after paying debt of 3400 = 8545
That allows Bobby to take care of the rent and finally start saving money for some focus tatoos 😀
-
@jack_spade I think the proposal is that the agency portion would be divided 4 ways while the Lysander portion would be divided 3 ways.
@all Good RP here, and a touching moment from Jawsey, where the orchestral music would be pulling on the audiences’ heartstrings, so I’ll let this scene linger for responses.
-
Works for me just as well
instead of 11000 it’s then 8250
for a total of 9608 after taxes
leaving 6208 for rent and savings. (or rather investing into AM to pay down her debt faster)
-
Jawsey was pretty much a dud at the Funhouse, so at least I’ll milk it for character growth 😀
-
I liked Gilga’s summary of our activities at the Funhouse so much that I decided that AM should say it 🙂
-
So I wrote the summary now extending it. It was a nice expirience to tell the story again while sticking to the facts.
-
“Bobby went to the Haloweeners and distracted them from the Ancients in his crude ways.” bwahahahahaha
Quite the write-up! I need to leave for an appointment but I’ll try to get a response up tonight.
