Lily barely had time to register the skittering thing as Kynos’ shots rang out but it was clearly a threat, and likely the cause for the blood smears on the window. Whilst she didn’t know whether the blight round would be effective there was every chance that this horror could launch more than claws at them and if that could be prevented it might level the playing field a little…taking a moment to try and judge its position the heavy revolver roared its protest at the abomination
Spoiler:Pistols 6 +Agi 11 +1smart +1aim = 19d6t5 = 6 hits (accuracy 6)
Edge 5/7

Lily was right behind Kynos, the massive revolver in her left hand was pre-loaded with a capsule round containing Blight whilst the Guardian in her right hand had the finest Tungsten armour penetrating sabots…

“Let me go first” Lily whispered to Batshit… “I’m less squishy” she replied to Batshit’s questioning look

Lily hadn’t seen many horror films since she emerged from London Below, life had enough horror in it and she much preferred fluffy teen trid dramas, but she silently agreed with with Kynos’ assessment, this did not look good at all!!
> Let’s get this door open then and find out what is going on…
She replied with some trepidation

After running through the decontamination cycle with the helpful aid of some AR demonstations Lily had shrugged her way in to one of the isolation suits and locked down the visor. It was a little big but beat Kynos’ efforts with the troll suit…

If Lily was bothered by Kynos’ frank appraisal she didn’t show it. She knew she didn’t have much to leer at in the traditional sense but if Kynos thought it would give them an edge…
> Not much skin here
She replied waving a cybernetic hand at him without breaking stride
> I’ll get the number of your tailor when we get out of here, for now I don’t want to roast

After a few moments running the heat began to take its toll… although her cybernetic body didn’t feel fatigue in the way a meat one would the dangers of overheating were just as real, except to servos and myomer muscle bundles rather than their biological equivalents. Before they potentially had to exert themselves in a combat situation, although that would be a last resort, it was worth taking a moment to address the risk.
> Wait a second, this heat could cause us issues if we’re exposed too long. Give me a moment
And she stripped off the heavy polar suit so that she was left standing in the thin insulated bodyglove underneath. She bundled the gear up and secured it with a cord and slung that over her shoulder. She would have preferred to leave it somewhere but that risked losing track of it and subsequently facing the dangers of exposure if they had to resurface without it…

Lily shrugged gracefully and, making sure that her companions could keep up, set off at a loping run down the tunnel that would rapidly eat up the distance between them and their quarry. As she ran she reached in to her belt pouch and took out the two small flying orbs that were each loaded with an anti-camera gun. She scattered them in to the air ahead of her and with a low hum they set off to find and neutralise any watching eyes. She allowed their video feed to occupy a small window in her augmented reality window as an early warning of what lay ahead…

“She can’t help herself” Lily told the cleaner, and then with a friendly punch to Batshit’s arm said “Cummon, he’s not here, you’ll have to catch him another time” and she pulled her obviously reluctant friend away…
To Kynos and Batshit she texted
> The drone sounds best to me, the less exposure we have the better, they might not all be as forgiving as the cleaner. We need access to the mine shaft and then ride the elevator down to hell…preferably on top rather than underneath and we’ll need to access the car controls anyway…

While Kynos stayed behind to watch their backs and Lily and Batshit approached the reluctant cleaner. Lily had left her larger weaponry behind on the basis it wouldn’t be much help underground anyway so neither she nor Batshit represented particularly threatening profiles. With their snow gear on they looked much like everyone else out of uniform, at least if this place saw many teenage girls, hopefully the man would be sufficiently dazzled by Batshit’s charm that he wouldn’t start demanding IDs…

Lily made sure to capture an image of the paper map with her cybereyes in case they needed it while they were underground and quickly plotted the best route to the mine head some eight hundred meters or so away. Hopefully the cleaner would be able to give them some useful information about their wayward nephew…
