[Saturday January 21, 2079; Observation Position, SnoLab, Somewhere near Sudbury]

“Storm’s coming” Lily observed “It will hopefully mess with their comms a bit and the best place for us will be inside! I don’t much fancy Al’s job but I’m sure he has weathered worse” that fact was written all over Al’s scarred and beaten features…

“Let’s go…” and she set off up the hillside towards their entrance point. Keeping low to avoid the biting wind and to obscure her form she was a blur that would hopefully go undetected until it was too late…

    Spoiler:

    Stealth 15D = 5 hits

    Edge 5/7

Lily shook her head “As long as we remember we are just couriers… If he’s being detained against his will then I’m all for breaking him out but if he’s just buried in his work we deliver the message from his uncle, get any response and bug out. We ought to ask our employer for a message recording that we can relay, it will be faster than trying to explain what we are doing down there…”

“Even a small corp has infinitely more resources to bring to bear than we can hope to muster. We will need to be quiet, and if that fails, very very fast!”

I think ‘watch and wait’ rather than secure… we would need to do this so they don’t know we’re coming otherwise those topside would potentially have to fight off waves of reinforcements before we go out… but having NPCs watching our tails would certainly make the elevator ride to hell more appealing from an ingame perspective!

Lily dashed off a quick message to Kynos, ensuring Batshit got the text too

    > That gels with what his snow friends are telling us. Let’s meet back where this first started.

This could become a waiting game for Bobby to resurface and Lily was happy enough with that. Then again Bobby’s uncle wasn’t going to last long which meant they might have to resort to more extreme measures to get a message through to the wayward relative…

“We can help you dig” Lily offered “we’re stronger than we look and don’t mind helping out, right?” she said to Batshit. “So where do you want this snow putting…?” and she picked up a shovel as if it was a piece of cutlery and hefted an unlikely amount of snow out of the way, her enhanced muscles barely feeling any strain…

“So, got any plans for your next piece or is that a secret?” she asked with a smile.

Had to go back to the beginning to remember what our initial brief was, post details that seem relevant (sorry, can’t work out how to link them) are p4 post 4 and post 18

Robert, ‘Aware’, part of snow sculptors… out of contact/missing for a couple of weeks, got an old address, owns 6% of farm, wants to see if he wants to sell his share too

…hopefully @Beta can fill in details I’ve missed

Lily stripped alongside the others, apparently oblivious to the nudity, although when your body is crafted from myomer muscle bundles, anti-ballistic ceramics and gun metal grey armour plates with no obvious genitalia to conceal perhaps that was understandable. Unlike the other two her body was flawless, each part intricately crafted and decorated with fine platinum filigree that to the knowledgeable observer concealed several arcane glyphs. Her neck and head were the only living parts of her and the steam soon slicked down her hair until she brushed it away from large dark eyes that had seen too much…

“Ready when you are” she replied to Batshit

I’m up for continuing, it’s the only game where I’m not the GM 😀

I haven’t got any significant time off now, holidays more or less done with for the year 😛

…But we may need to draft in an NPC face/tracker as I’m not sure the 3 combat monsters are the best people for a missing persons job? I could be wrong, I haven’t studied Kynos’ or Batshit’s sheets…?!?

[Saturday January 21, 2079; Mage’s Farm, Somewhere near Sudbury]

Lily forced herself to watch while Kynos casually ended the man’s life. These were the people she was working with now, this was who she was now. It left a bad taste in her mouth even as she recognised that she would have been prepared to end this man’s life too. It was the lack of emotion that was so disturbing…that was something she never wanted to experience!

Lily looked back warily at the spirit…

“Ok, I’ll need to get down to the farm but first I need to get the gear that I dropped and check that not-bear”

and without waiting for it to decide she set off bounding back towards the recent affray to pick up her weapon (and Batshit’s rifle) that she’d dropped and then stopped to check whether the recent bear matched the profile pictures of their target…

    Full Def dodge 20d6t5: <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>6 [20d6t5=6, 5, 2, 3, 2, 5, 6, 3, 3, 5, 1, 3, 2, 1, 1, 6, 3, 2, 3, 3]

I think I can still go FD, but a little hazy on timings… even if I can’t I still dodge with 5 hits

Straight up melee is where Lily is comfortable so she’ll defend the hunter and then no doubt get grabbed… she won’t resist the air spirt, it’s a lot scarier but she at least vaguely knows it’s on her side. Will try and get a roll up shortly

I think Lily needs to wait for the bear and the hunter (and the other hunter?) before thinking about the next pass, right?
