Saturday March 20, 2077. Manchester, UK

Kayden – Idhrenohtar’s translated name – sat down on the floor, back against the wall now crippled by bullets. Next to him laid a corpse in a similar, but distorted position. The man’s forehead was pierced and the wall behind splattered with brain matter and a long streak of blood indicated the origin of the impact and the direction of the body falling.
The immortal Elf didn’t look like himself. He never did really; instead relying on his powerful masking abilities to become one of his many personae. Today he was Agent Jones, a charismatic but non distinct older human, always sporting his perfectly fitted black suit and dark glasses. His short cropped hair were a contrast to the elf’s natural long braided hair. Your typical Johnson, corporate sararyman. Today he needed to have a “talk” with Sir Fottfoy, a Manchester local gangster, and Agent Jones was the ideal ‘middle man’ when Kayden needed to run business.
“I really thought we could have come to an understanding you and I… ” said Kayden to the corspe next to him. “Now look what happens when you bring guns to a business meeting.”
He reached into the gangster’s pocket grabbed a pack of cigarettes and tucked one on the dead man’s lips. The fag ignited instantly.

The scene attested of the failure of the negotiations. It had all happened very quickly.

Fottfoy and six of his goons versus Agent Jones and his body guard Karl. Kayden did not really need a bodyguard, but the Ork’s presence added to the persona. He was a bold and bulky Physical Adept, a master thrower who could maim someone with any object he could get his hand on. Karl was also trained in firearms and close combat, was deadly with a blade and it would take a few Trolls or High Explosive bullets to take him down. But most of all, he was loyal; loyal to an unseen boss, loyal to his middle man Jones, an ideal bodyguard.

Seven vs Two. Just because Fottfoy didn’t appreciate Kayden’s offer. The ganger certainly needed to show his power. He ordered one of his Ork goon to shoot me. Karl didn’t move. Kayden didn’t move. He had already gained control of 4 of the goons’ mind. The Ork put his sub-machine gun a few inches away from the disguised Immortal Elf’s face, but just stood there, fighting his own will. His order were to shoot. He mind knew not to.

Kayden was about to continue the negotiation but Fottfoy got angry. He yelled at his man, and decided to take matter in his own hand : he grabbed the gun he had left on his table and shot, initiating the deadly conflict. Before Fottfoy even rose the gun, Kayden had disarmed and pulled the goon standing next to him to use as shield. The goon indeed took the bullets, while Kayden threw the sub-machine gun at Karl. The Ork bodyguard had already sprung into action too, having thrown a small knife he had manage to keep hidden, neutralizing a goon before he could realize what was happening.

Karl swiftly grabbed the gun on the fly, spun and laid a volley of fire at the remain three gangers.
Kayden dropped the dead Ork body and with a couple stride was at close range with the Goon standing next to Fottfoy and the Ganger boss himself. He disarmed the latter and simply touched the goon to transform the Mana inside him into deadly energy. The man was dead before hitting the ground.

Kaydne turned back toward Fottfoy only to surprisingly witness the man’s brain explode as bullets came ripping his body and head. Not so friendly friendly fire. One of the remaining goon had taken a burst of fire from Karl and fell while pressing the trigger of his own sub-machine gun, randomly hitting his boss, and killing him in a a dramatic manner.

In less than 5 seconds the fight had been over. It seemed only two of the goon gangers were still
alive, their moans and cry of pain indicating they were too heavily hit to be. The man Kayden needed to convince to leave the neighborhood… well, he wouldn’t bother anyone for sure.
That was not how he had intended to the negotiations to end… He looked at the scene with disappointment, when his ‘link beeped. He put his glasses on and connected the image link to the expansive commlink.

A smile came back on his face when he saw it was an old acquaintance. Arialles.

“Karl, thank you. Our boss is sending me on an errant. I guess you have the rest of the day off… “

He left a message on an obscure matrix board, confident Arialles would know where to get it. >>I’ll be there by the evening. Always eager to help.<<

Evening. Saturday March 20, 2077. London, UK

Idhrenohtar had driven has fast as he could and enjoyed every second of it. He liked speed and being outside. The only time he could really feel free. Back a century, he would have been riding a horse. Today, metal and fuel had replace the beautiful creature. It was powerful, loud and fast and Kayden had learn to love it. He had parked the Bike in the subterranean garage of one of the apartments he kept in the Capital city, and made his way to one of the possible entrance to tunnels and maze that would lead to London Below.

He had dealt before with a few beings from the Earl’s Court, down Below, some time ago. Some services the Seelie Court had requested of him.
They were a weird bunch but so was he and the Seelie Court Elves and Faeries. They were more interested in politics than open warfare, and though the Court’s warriors were not to underestimate, it was the silver-tongue nobles and bureaucrats that he would be careful of.

He placed his ballistic mask on his face, and covered his head with the heavy hood he had on his armored jacket before entering the unforgiving place .

Without an Olfactive Booster or assensing skill I would personally not allow the detection.

    @mercy
I’m sure what Vindarel is sensing is not Magic so masking wouldn’t change that. Physical Mask which I believe you have would cover that though.

Also keep in mind Vampire have sunlight allergy to a minimum of mild even with Magic spells.

@obidancer I think you and I might work together a lot. Finding a way to protect ourselves/fight the horrors is my main driving focus.

@ennui yes, it can be an interesting dynamic since you seem to embrace technology while Kayden will be very cautious of it. He often argues technology will destroy humanity before it does to the Horrors.

@obidancer so who does Idhrenohtar call master?? I suggest you read the spoiler above!

My relationships are put on OP already and I went so far with R6 with Harlequin and 4 with the Seelie Court. The only Dragon he entertained was Big D and his foundation, mostly because of his constant quest to fight the Horrors.

Having events back to back and super loaded with work in between. Sorry for any delay.

@aria. though heavily involved with European affairs, I was gonna have Kayden in the states anyway so heading to Seattle sounds good to me.
If time allows I will attempt to finish the write up within the coming couple days.

    @misterjosha
Thank you for the suggestions. I personally prefer a lighter background and keeping things minimalist, but if others want to pitch in and let me know what their preference is, I don’t mind looking into changing the color theme.

Add [ color = colorname ] before your colored text and [ /color ] after, both without any space character.
Colorname is whichever you want: orange, blue, red, yellowgreen etc

    [ color=orange ]orange colored text [ /color ]

    Welcome on board, Josh!
So I’ve ran a couple tests and it seems your color change is because of the ” ” you’re adding after [ color=
example: [ color = orange ] Orange color
[ color = “orange” ] Not so Orange anymore
