Tanya Initiative: Initiative: 15+3d6 29
I guess I need to wait for his first action. If he swings and hits, she will go to Full Defense with Acrobatic Defender.
I have never experienced such a thing as flames melting a weapon before it hits. Does that mean it also melts bullets? I am wondering if we maybe did not kill all of their mages.

Nope, it’s the elemental body power from SG:
An evolved version of Elemental Strike and similar to
the critter power Elemental Attack, Elemental Body
creates an elemental field that envelops the adept. This
field forms approximately three to five centimeters
from the adept’s body and can be used offensively and
defensively.
To activate this power, the adept must spend a
Complex Action channeling the desired element. For
offensive purposes, treat Elemental Body like the Ele-
mental Strike power, with a DV of (Magic x 2)P and AP
–(Magic x 0.5). For defense, anyone or thing coming
into contact (melee or unarmed strike) with the adept
while Elemental Body is active must resist the same DV
and elemental effect as the offensive strike; fast-mov-
ing projectiles such as bullets or thrown weapons are
unaffected. Items already on the adept’s body or held
by the adept are not damaged, but they do not gain any
elemental effect. And since monowire is in essence a very thin piece of carbon, it’s pretty flamable (and I’m telling you now so you don’t destroy a 10.000 Nuyen piece of equipment)
Onward to his attack: Charge Attack: 26d6t5 8
If he hits, he does 14 P(f) AP-7 damage -
Shoot the fucker lol
Away from D, feel free to roll for Feral if Al or Kynos don’t nail him first!
-
LOL Again with my character trying to hold the bad guy’s attention while my allies do the real work. How hilarious.
OK, thank you so much for the advance warning. If she survives the first attack, she can use a second canister of the spray that increases the BGC. Would that have any effect on the adept and this ability?
-
You don’t have a second dose. Preparations are one shot.
-
Haha. Sounds fun! I just popped in to watch/say hi. Good to see it’s still going strong. 😀
-
Hmmm. I thought he gave us a couple. Oh well. So sad I will edit that out.
-
Nope. To get such a strong preparation, the Rabbi had quite a lot of physical drain to deal with. (9 Physical drain pre soak)
I think you keep confusing it with FAB III which you couldn’t get at such short notice. -
Okay, Al’s initiative
Initiative: 4d6 22
Plus 16 = 38 Go Al!Okay, so Al was waiting outside the back door, and now everything’s happening out front.
Not sure if door is locked, or how much junk is between that and the front, so maybe it’s fair if I just use my first full action to break through the door and make my way to the front of the small building. So for Initiative pass 2 my initaitive will be 28…
The bad guy has attacked, and gon full-D, and TT went full-D, but no attack yet?
Nothing from Feral yet, who never got to throw his grenade?
Aria asked us to roll for a shot at the guy, so this is what I get from a quick scan of his sheet –
Shoot flame boy with Howl: 17d6t5 4
9P w/-5 AP and that’s Burst FireSo I THINK that that brings us to the start of the second pass, in which I’ll go first
Usual call shot vitals and center and aim and shoot with pre-Edge
Shoot with pre-Edge: 23d6h5 11
14P w/-8 AP -
Jeez.
That will be hard to beat. The guy has pretty little edge left at this pointDefense: 21d6t5 8
evades Feral’s shot.New phase:
Defense: 25d6t5 9
Al hits with two successes.
Not good for the inhuman torch:
Soak: 23d6t5 11
5 Points of Physical damage.
He is currently beyond such trifling things like pain, but he can’t take much more of this.
He is going for a disarm of Al next, charging him with centering to get the full +4 bonus – immediately taken away through the called shot: Disarm
Disarm: 22d6t5 4… well, he’s pretty fucked now.
-
Yeah, in this fight, I am thinking that Tanya has brought a knife to a gunfight. She is not really a combat machine, as I originally built her to be a thief. The whip is a good tool for many things and also happens to be a good weapon, except in cases like this.
Good shot, Al.
-
So, is there a chance that the fuel canister would make a weapon in this case?
-
Interesting idea. But I thought it was a high capacity battery – not that that makes a difference in explosive force.
So yeah, that could work. But since it’s really a very improvised weapon you’ll only have an ACC of 3 unless you spend Edge to break the limit. -
LOL there are some things that are meant to be used with Edge. If there is a chance she can help, she will take it. I think that I am after him in the initiative and will go after Al strikes back at him. Hopefully, he backpedals a bit to stay away from the guy’s flames and then shoots him.
-
Okay, it’s late so I’ll save myself some Orokos fun and just buy successes to easily avoid the disarm attack.
On my next action (whever that comes up – not trying to pre-empt anyone else) I’ll use movement to get some distance between me and any ensuing blast from Tanya’s bomb, then shoot again in the same way as before, but skip the extravagant use of Edge this time.
Dammit – bed becons and now I can’t even get Orokos to come up.
Throwing 15 physical dice….1 – 5 – 3- 6 – 3 – 3 – 5 – 5 – 2 – 5 – 3 – 6 – 1 – 6 – 3 = seven hits -
Still good shot. he is injured and that could factor into him not defending. Then it is Tanya’s turn and she will try to avoid blowing herself up while doing some damage to the guy. I have no idea what sort of damage the explosion might do.
-
At this stage we could just shoot him until he falls over but I’m all for the cool factor of blowing him up with a battery instead 😀
-
Defense:
Defense: 27d6t5 10
Evaded the shot from Al.
If you want to throw the battery, now is a good time. Kynos has no longer line of sight since the fight went into the building again
