Becky packed her things to the trunk of the car and then took the front seat. She was happy to offer whoever wanted it fresh chocolate cake. Sure domestic skills were not a necessity for a shadowrunner, or so she thought but she knew enough about maintaining a meticulous house to know that Cake really does solve most of the problems and that problems that chocolate also solved many problems. Combining them was perhaps enough to let a bunch of heavily armed strangers stuck with each other on a small car not kill each other.
Years ago, Becky would never allow someone to eat in a car, but then she discovered the miraculous ‘alchemical general cleaning fluid ‘ or in short AGC. The fine print assured that AGC was not really magical, but if it cleaned so well then the result was the same. So given that she packed a bottle of AGC in her belongings, eating in the car seemed was a calculated risk. It still felt a bit off – but she tried to adjust.
She nodded at Al and said “The good stuff gets pretty expensive, but you mainly pay for brands. If you know what you are doing then you can separate the wheat from the chaff and do so quite cheaply. My mascara is expensive but I use basic makeup and eyeliner to get that color I like, I am lucky that my skin is not irritated by the basic stuff. Once you try to go around skin allergies prices really pick up.”
She paused and looked at Al and asked “Though…somehow you o not strike me as the most interested in cosmetics. A penny for your thoughts? ”

In case anyone was in doubt about who it was, she warned them “One fragging word about the new look and I send a spirit at your fragging face.”
She replied to Forty “Nice outfit! Take down the criminal vibe and add some sports elegance. There are few more things you can do to look the part. Give your skin that taint real food gives you. As well as to bring out your eyes, I can show you sometimes if you like. Might come in useful… but what are these spirits you keep mentioning?”

Becky texts >> I’ll be right there – I took some spare time since we are not the most punctual of all people and so forth. Becky baked a chocolate cake and packed plenty of other treats for the road as well as a bunch of beer and pretzels. When she was ready she texted Al >> want to pick me up in the new car? Kind of impressive that you work so well with your hands. She would not normally let anyone else drive – but few people could prep her a modified 6 seater car in such a short notice and Al really out did himself.

Becky spent her time grooming herself, which included a face mask, removing most of the hair from her body and renewing her semi permanent makeup and eye shadow. Afterwards she watched trids and played matrix games. She was getting quite good at Backgammon which became quite popular in recent years. The VR scenary included a 3d view of Jaffa’s beach with an oriental looking male with plenty of body hair as the AI. Deep purple, was the world’s champion in Backgammon since the happy sixties and Becky as well as several thousands other attractive looking elves were selected by it as students.
After eleven loses to the muscular AI, Becky left the game attempting to figure out just how realistic 20’s centauri Jaffa was. She made it for a few blocks to the port before the GOD’s disconnected her. So close… I could feel the salt in the water she thought and decided to next time bribe the good looking AI to give her time. It was a mystery why an AI would show such preference toward attractive elves. Some speculated that deep purple was actually a technomancer disguised as an AI, but Becky was just happy that she had a chance to learn from the best.

She texted Macey and the rest >> 20:00 tomorrow ofc – sorry for the confusion. Driving around aimlessly and being a bit nervous Becky texted >>Is there anything else you need for the job? Anyone? Because once in SF we know fewer people and things get harder to find.

J-Love took about *twenty* two hours to find just the right ship. Fishing apparently was a difficult buissness and it was not difficult to find fishermen willing to do some smuggling on the side. He texted Becky.So J-Love returns to Becky after 22 hours instead of 2 and the space time continuum is saved. I just slapped together the new car at market price from Becky’s money as we really get a ridiculous amount of cash. She has like 50k before we even arrived in SF… so let’s not do complex calculations for a 30k car.

Well sorry for pushing it too quickly, we can assume that it is done the next day without much impact. (I’ll edit slightly). Forty was there when Becky offered to take Willis/Macey to the Supermarket so could have shouted something about a gun. (or just buy one in SF with her ex-con non reformed undefined friend that returned to his old gun dealing ways…

Becky placed a credstick in Love’s postal box and texted >> payed, kisses! Purchasing the car meant she maxed out her expenses but they needed a car that could carry all the team and the girl. She sighed when she left her own car and picked the Armadillo, with Al that did some fine work in there. It was around 16:00 when Becky texted the meetup details for the border crossing and everything. Getting all the teams valuables convinced her that they needed a larger smuggling space and as a result she had Al and the mechanics install a troll sized one. Perhaps so that Willis will feel that things fit his own very large size.
She texted the team >> Meeting at 20:00 outside Redmond location attached. I can pick you up at 19:00 if you want. Be on time, and be sober.
with that done, Becky still had a few hours to burn until the big trip – though she was too nervous to anything too productive.

With Macey on in the passenger seat and Willis on the roof, Becky advanced to the Supermarket, which was under a dry cleaner in a good neighborhood downtown. Becky ordered the malfunctioning dryer number #7 and then approached the dry cleaner to pay. Passing to the private part of the establishment were stairs that led to a basement with endless shelves filled with seemingly random stuff, some treasures and other just junk.Becky rushed inside and cried happily “Jimmy! How is my favorite painter! ” she warmly hugged him and kissed the man on both cheeks. “Doing some Van Gogh, you know it takes some skill to draw I give him that, but forgery takes much more skills – first you need to be very versatile in drawing style. Second you need to think about everything including the age of the paper and ideally use colors and paper of the same age as the paining.”
“Indeed you sound smart… Look these two are cool, I vouch for them. Show them the good stuff if they ask. ”
“The good stuff… well you must like them very much… it will be a shame to cut you to pieces if they misbehave.” he said.
Becky said “Jimmy… common I haven’t let you down yet. You are too suspicious you need new clients.”
“Alright alright” said Jimmy “Just hit me with what you guys are looking and I’ll get it to you but no discounts on first buy yes?”
Somewhat laters Becky texted Al >> I dropped Macey and Willis at the shopping place do you need a ride to the garage?

Becky said “5k, and I better come with you or they won’t sell you.” She gave Macey the cred stick and said: “Let’s go, I’ll drop you at the Supermarket and head to the garage when you are done.” Looking at Willis she asked, “You want to come as well ?”

“Okay, then it is settled. Time is of the essence – and we count on you J-Love.”
Becky bid her farewell to J-Love with another hug and then as the Coyote left to do his thing, she asked “Alright – who goes where now? Macey do you still want to visit the Supermarket to catch up with some gear? What about you Willis? Perhaps a protective armor jacket and a ballistic mask?”She smiled at Al and said “Let’s go and pimp a ride… ”

So let’s go for Armadillo with metatype adjustment for a troll seat. Handling enhancement, smuggling space for troll oh and secondary propulsion as ship. This gives us a 6 +1 car which is suitable for our needs in the run. (or we can bring two cars just to be safe?)

I purchased an Armadillo with six seats and smuggling compartment (troll) for the girl and for Willis if we need to hide him for some reason. (secondary propulsion) all for 30k which is within Becky’s funds so to be rule strict perhaps we can use that one? What do you guys think? (The secondary propulsion is not a must – but it is only like 2600 nuyen.

Oh dammit, well we can then buy a GMC Armadillo: it is quite cheap 22k has 6 seats and reasonable speed/handling. Perhaps this is what the guys at the Garage would offer. (I can purchase a modified Armadillo with the run rewards).

Becky said “It is the cheapest method of having a car for the road, and my car is already modified and has unparallel speed and handling. It is the real deal as far as manual driving goes. You can get “A” car but not this car, and I am not given up on the option of sailing it all the way to SF if the ship holds extra fuel. Will teach me how to sail a bit. You are very skeptic but my mechanic ensures me that it is the real deal not just some neat trick to cross a river….
And yes, I am aware that there is a possibility that the car will not make it. It is the first one I owned and as painful as it is … the risks come with the job. I can buy a new one with my share of the bounty.”

I modified the car with two increase seats to get it to have four I think by Rigger 5 rules we can slap a few more as the body is 14 (which is unusually large for a car – almost a truck size). Right now the body modifications are 7/14 and each increase seating adds two.
so we can add 3 more seats to get to 7 which is enough for1. Al,
2. Forty,
3. Macey ,
4. Willis (in a modified seat)
5. Khili (if he needs a seat?)
6. Becky

“Great” said Becky so in case of drek hitting the ventilation device we have some plan to survive. This raises my confidence in the abilities of the car to traverse open ocean. to join the ship . J-Love, get us an offer on that fisher ship with a large fish storage space. Ideally, we can join it on its way to Calfree with our car – and be fished discreetly. I want to get going the longest by this time tomorrow. So there is plenty of rushed work to do.”
She looked at Macey and said “If you can aquire a bird that can accommodate the car and all of us – within budget before J-love finds us a fisherman then we go with your plan. Let me know if you still need to do some shopping – I am very fond of these things. ”
To Al she said “We now need to upgrade the car, I’ll take you to my mechanic he has a good facility and is committed to maintaining my car in top order – long story but he’ll have some people to help you. I wish I could help myself but I barely knows how cars even work. I think that the best place for Willis is the gunner place, which is kind of already on the roof so less claustrophobic for him. ”
To Willis she said “You will love seating on the roof near the gun – it is the best seat in the car. I usually sunbath on that roof so if there is room I might keep you company… ”
To the rest she said, make sure to leave your equipment in the smuggling compartment – in the car. That way we can go as soon as we are ready and know if it all fits in there.”

Becky replied “Can you really get us undetected? With radars and air traffic control and all that? Where do we land? How do we move from the landing spot to the extraction and back. We need a car – in SF and we can either buy a new one or deliver this one. You saw the credsticks we have, that is it for everything.
I like the scuba part, never did it so not actual Scuba, but if Khili can turn us into Seals than we have very nice options…”
Turning to the dog she asks “Is it feasible or do you only make people dogs?”
