Thanks, well I like her and feels like she is growing on me. I was kind of surprised how she turned out to be the ‘bad’ one. Fascinating how the character interactions progress. I could not anticipate that in advance.

Forty isn’t a good enough follower to stay lined up behind one leader for long, and since she’d been following Becky pretty tightly for a bit I figured it was time for her to drift off. Well, that and she has sympathy around people being caged. I haven’t caught up on all the IC posts yet, so possibly Becky will have said something to change Forty’s mind (it isn’t like she has a well thought out anything, and certainly not a well thought out moral code).

So I guess for things to move forward we are waiting for Jenny to say if she wants to be accompanied to the holo meet (which I assume will be in AR), and if so who.
OR, for some player to step up and volunteer.

Well, I do not know what Aria had in mind but it would be hilarious if Jenny decides to go alone and not tell us anything about the new employer. We’ll be left with our philosophic arguments and she’ll emerge as a strong woman in complete control of her life and as the ‘client’ rather than the ‘package’ to be delivered. I think it would color her as a very interesting character which I can imagine great things from. It’s just my biased coin, and well from my experience perhaps not the most popular manner to view stuff – so I am keeping it as a suggestion.
I am not very invested in which way the plot goes right now – even if the result is Jenny not wanting to be delivered. Becky would be fine with that – she would not go against every other member of the team and Jenny. I envision her pulling out the Katana and training/smashing something… working her ass off until she relaxes. Then by the time the Coyote comes to pick us up, she would be all milk and honey… but of course, don’t expect her to like any of you ‘do-gooders’… at least not until we get paid.

When I said ‘holo’ meet I meant that his image would be projected on a trid unit, bound to be one on the ship, real old school stuff… AR is almost as bad as VR when technos are about 🙂

Yeah, that’s some serious “Help me, Obi-wan Kenobi. You’re my only hope.” kinda stuff.
Anyway, under the assumption that we would also be projecting back, still makes sense to ask who, if anyone, will be in the room with Jenny….although i guess once we realize it’s not AR then Al could do it…..was trying to hand the reins off to another player, but if no one is going to step up, whatever is needed to keep the thread rolling…..

Macey can do this. I was under the impression that this was to be a VR meeting of some type and that Macey would not be a good choice. However, if it is just projections, she can do it.

Sorry I’ve been so quiet — Forty is a bit limited in her scope for this group, but I’ve been having fun with her all the same. Next time I play someone more flexible though!

these were too many ifs – and it was possible, but perhaps a bit unlikely, that Jenny’s former masters would still be able to track them before the drop. After all, Jenny was a matrix beacon with no ‘off’ plug… she was always visible if one looked hard enough.
Ah @Gilga: you are far too cynical…and clearly know me far too well <evil grin> …this isn’t over yet!!!

Thanks! I can’t say that I follow SoP but I read a bit you have some epic game going on, I appreciate its depth.
I enjoy Becky the most so far. I vividly feel her as desperate and fundamentally broken. Nevertheless, she is a princess and is accustomed to people obeying her every whim, even if she mistreats them due to the massive influence of her patron. This is also why I cannot imagine her getting along so well with Macey as much as I personally like her. Though I enjoy the rivalry. -
I’m not so sure that Forty’s idea is a good one — if the opposition figure out that we are on a particular flight, they can just wait for us to land. Possibly works better with a charter flight?
Also could be used as a decoy — make it look like we are going onto such a flight, have them waiting to meet it when we are coming in overland.
Also one of the others might pick up on the mention of smuggling tunnels. Orc underground from the docks to nearer the airport, then make a dash for it?

Teaching Jenny automatics, because why not. If that conflicts with future stats, assume that Jenny fooled Forty into thinking she had learned, just so Forty would stop bugging her.
