    Final disposition….

Okay guys, looks like the GM has helpfully jumped us ahead to entering the airport.

Looking back over the plan, I’ll lay out our disposition.
There were a few undecided points – I’ll put those at the end…

First in are Macey disguised as Jenny, with Willis as her bodyguard.

Moving separately through the airport but not too far off is Becky with an animal carrier. It holds some poor animal with a matrix signature faked to look like Jenny.

Also keeping the others in sight but at arm’s length are Al and Forty as animal rights activists. Khili is with us as an animal ambassador. Jenny is also with us.

Undecided: 1. Whether Jenny is another dog or still in human form and disguised.
    2. Is Jenny staying in a host all the time to prevent being matrix-tracked? Can she still walk around that way?
    (sorry, I’m dumb about technos).

If we get those two questions answered, I’m ready to start posting into the airport!

I doubt she’d get through airport security as a shape changed critter!?

    I am here…

    1. Let’s keep Jenny human.
    2. Becky would disguise Macey and Jenny (can I get teamwork for that? or is she the only one with the disguise skill?).

Note that I am not sure if Mercy still plays (is he?) so Willis/Macey might need to be NPCed. If this is the case, it is nice that they are in their own team.

The original idea was to keep Jenny in human form together with Khili in an animal carrier – but a disguise might work as well, as long as she keeps her persona inside the host.

Mercy hasn’t posted for a week now, but I wouldn’t count him out.

I’m sure it’s fine if we move Macey/Willis along.

But based on what he’s said, Mercy may (fingers triple-crossed) be past the worst of things in a week or so.

    Hoping he’s coming through okay.

I hadn’t heard the news about Mercy. That is some tough πŸ™ (my father’s going through chemo currently, and while regimes differ there stretches in each cycle where he barely has the energy to shower and eat).

    ===============================================================

@Gilga: Forty has worked her way up to seven dice on disguise rolls (all based on what she’s learned from Becky, i.e. bought two points of skill in game). So let’s see how that goes:

    disguise teamwork: 7d6t5 4

Nice — the virtual dice were apparently to get back to rolling, and gifted us four extra dice for Becky.

    =================================================================
I think the conclusion was that alchemical preparations would cause issues at the airport (not magically active but would still get picked up)?

Given which, will use her best willpower preparation (F5P4) before summoning a spirit earlier that day, and take a chance on going to force 7.
    will prep: 9d6t5 2
    summon Bolt (F7 air spirit): 14d6t5 7
    Bolt summon resist: 7d6t5 4
    drain resist: 14d6t5 6

So, lesson learned, when the dice are rolling hot, don’t summon a large spirit! I’m saving her two edge for later, so out of all of that:
    – Forty takes two physical damage.
    – She has a F7 air spirit (elemental attack, fear) owing her three services.

Hopefully she’ll not need to cut loose with it, but she’s not walking in there without some sort of weapon ready! (obviously it will be waiting in the astral)

    =================================

What are we doing on armor — restricted to armored clothing?

    Spoiler:
2 phys damage, 0 stun damage
    2 edge available
Spirit: Bolt, F7, 3 services, optional powers elemental attack and fear
    No preparations

    Perhaps a form-fitting body armor?

    Making Disguises:
    Disguise: 15d6t5 8
I am sure that Forty looks adorable… πŸ™‚

Forty is using edge to sieze the initiative (or whatever it is called — going first in the init order — She didn’t have her Improved Reflexes running, because of not showing active magic, so is doing this instead).
    Init init: 10+1d6 15
So init 15, but jumping to the front of the order.

Then she is using a complex action to use Commanding Voice (Leadership+Charisma vs Will+Logic). She has leadership (commands) 2 (4), 8 charisma, and +1 from Authoritative Tone since she initiated the context, making 13 dice (her intimidate pool is frankly better, but I didn’t feel that intimidate could work fast enough to stop them from shooting.)

    Commanding Voice: 13d6t5 2
That won’t do. She uses her other point of edge (after a few days at sea I’m assuming that edge has refreshed) to re-roll fails
    edge commanding voice (re-roll fails): 11d6t5 3
    Totals 5 successes.

(Sigh, some days the dice love you, others you’d do just as well buying successes)

    Spoiler:
    0/2 edge
    0 stun, 2 physical
    no preparations
F7 air spirit owing 3 services

Yeah, Khili’s first instinct is also to use magic: Though he is more hands on:

    Ini: 11+1d6 12
    Channeling F8 Spirit of Men: 14d6t5 3
    Resist: 8d6t5 3
    Drain resist: 13d6t5 6
No effect beside a wasted turn.

    Hmmm.

Well, Al’s plan is to step forward to hug his long-lost cousins Ernie and Bernice, making himself their target and hopefully occupying them so that Forty and Jenny can move on (not sure if Khili will stay or go with them).

    Clearly Forty’s Command comes first.

But Al does the same thing whether they shoot or not. He may fail at the “hug” which is a split attack to grapple them both, but the point is to try to tangle up with them and force their attention onto himself.

    Initiative
    Initiative: 2d6 5 + 11 = 16

Pre-edge Grapple, then split into two.
Double Joyful Hug of Cousins: 2#8d6h5 2 1
Yikes. Well, he IS supposed to be a drug-addled hippie animal rights activist!

Here are two defensive rolls in case the command doesn’t work and they shoot.
    two dodges: 2#15d6t5 6 7

Intimidate (+/- a bit for display of magic/two targets/smiling, possibly? You can always throw that into their defense pools). Keeping Authoritative Voice active for the extra die.
    Intimidate 6 + charisma 8 +2 from firebird +1 authoritative tone = 17 dice
    intimidate: 17d6t5 3

Ugh, these ‘dice’! Well, it is what it is, but three successes may not be enough. (Personally I blame the smile)

Feel free to roll some D for the Azzie agents. The man is biowired to the hilt, the woman is an adept. Both should be better than the average runner…

    Sweet Jack – thanks!

I didn’t do an attack roll on Al’ punch because I assumed without burning Edge he is simply not going to hurt the guy – and now I see that assumption is true.

The punch is just a way of saying, ‘Al aggressively staying in this guy’s face to hold his attention.’
