IC is up. Ichante isn’t familiar enough with Christianity to distinguish between the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant Church. I’m actually not sure what the state of the Protestant church in Aztlan is.
Ichante is in a bad mood, which is part of the character arc I have for her. Her Mentor Spirit – which has not announced itself yet – will be dragging her from sour to sweet, albeit reluctantly sweet.

Hey guys, sorry my gear list is not on the OP site (Jack has it, though).
Al’s truck, a Toyota Gopher-equivalent, looks like any other King Cab 4WD truck favored by men in the States, including a winch on the front..
But she’s got morph plates and spoof chip tied to three high-rated SINs, a shielded smuggling compartment, extra armor (concealed) and passenger protection, tons of storage space, enhanced speed/handling/acceleration, off-road suspension, and is fitted for desert environment and has a sun cell to extend range if we go out very far.Not a rules expert, but pretty sure astral perception can’t seem something buried in the depths of a big machine. But to be safe, we can always just fill the smuggling compartment with fresh cut marijuana bushes – effective and believable.

It is not, but projecting mages can ignore non living objects and take a look inside the truck. Which is why we need to mask it with living things.

No problem – I took the extended seating mod so she seats five.
Not unusual in RL to see so-called King Cab pick up trucks with back seats in the extended cab. Quite popular in regions like Texas.However, while I hate having four vehicles going everywhere in a caravan – dorky and conspicuous – there is nothing wrong with a single outrider vehicle – can watch for tails from a distance and/or act as a sort of “fighter escort”.
I guess the next thing would be to see if the Johnson’s car contact can do this biofiber thing.
(I have the shielding option from the rigger book, but can’t remember if that includes shielding from astral stuff – I don’t think so – will look when I get home) -
By the way: I sort of invented the biofiber as armor has a biofiber pocket mod, I assume you can get a blanket of biofiber or something similar.

We think the fixer is at the Bermuda Arcades. This is an AR/VR arcade where teenagers play video games and get hit on by skeevy fixers, correct? In other words, not the place to wear a black dress from the new Sleeping Tiger line with retractable stilettos and mascara. Just want to make sure that we’re on the same page. -

Ahh, no! Did you save the old version? I liked it a lot and Ichante was going to respond to it.“Not getting that kind of vibe from Jazz” was the joke. Ichante can magically augment Jazz since she’s the one who needs it, whereas Becky clearly doesn’t. Referring to Jazz’s “natural gifts” was being kind/generous/diplomatic, maybe a bit snooty/patronizing. (Ichante doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with the way Jazz looks, just the way that Jazz dresses.)

Yeah, gilga, dude, what did you cut that sweet post for? I think I read two or three versions of it as you were editing, but all of them were really revealing about Becky’s character.

M… sorry I miss understood the conment.
I thought about it… and the only reason Becky would get all worked up was if someone provoked her to do so. So if she wasn’t the one provoked. I don’t think she would overdress so much.

I don’t know much about claiming stuff at a morgue. I’m assuming show up, show appropriate ID, and if the police haven’t placed some sort of hold, pick up possessions and make arrangements for the body.
Could someone let me know if I’m off track there?

@Jack_Spade any views on how many drones can realistically be swarmed together, given how potentially broken the rules are…? Extra drones equal to lead pilot rating seems a good houserule that makes them effective without being massively game changing?? Are we able to secure a visual image of the fixer we’re looking for??
Can I get your ruling on the machine sprite’s diagnostic power too please? Can it be used to give bonuses to smartlink shooting for example? For a specific time or a single action (that last seems a bit limiting compared to what a magic user’s spirit can do?!)

You are again spot on with your interpretation. If it helps, I’m imagining the arcade from the beginning of Terminator 2 – lot’s of kids and teens with lots of neon, sugary drinks and even more advertising.@Aria
I won’t limit your swarm size beyond the existing DRx3. You get great dp that way, but in combat you’ll realize that lot’s of lower dice pool attacks are usually more effective than just one high dp. Not to mention that larger swarms do cost quite a bit of money and there are now bullets and grenades made to counter them -
Beta – to sum up, I suggest
1) a look at where the guy got killed
2) a few basic searches on the guy and maybe a look at the morgue host
3) scouting the morgue for surveillance
4) conning our way in based on what we found in 2. Oh, and bribery – gotta edit that into my last IC. If if the con fails, it can give plausible deniability to a bribe recipient (but their IDs looked so REAL). We get called on our con, out comes the cash – they’re just civil servants in a morgue.Jack- AFB, don’t recall what dice to use for Data Search on the guy’s basic family and residence situation. Computer skill is 2, Fairlight has pretty much a 7 in everything…(anyone) feel free to roll for me or I’ll figure the pool and do it when I get home.

Computer + Intuition is the way to go. But I can tell you without rolling, that you won’t find much on him except that he lives in New York and worked all over the UCAS and CAS.

Becky is 36, I assume she should know a couple of previous generation games. She is not a gamer, but is interested (2 points of matrix games).
