PS: Updated AM’s sheet in OP. (assuming 4-way splitting).

I gave her a single point in demolitions for defusing the bombs, and I reduced her debt with all my remaining money (and paid the karma for 2 more reductions). Only 37.5k debt remaining.

We have multiple options of varying levels of IC and OOC improbability:

    1) 4-way split, everyone shares everything. Convenient OOCly. Somewhat suspect ICly, given the dog-eat-dog nature of the Sixth World, but maybe we’re different.

    2) 3-way split, but the GM’s PC – by suspicious, miraculous coincidence – earns the same amount while they’re away.

    3) 4-way split of contracts, 3-way split of loot. Easiest to explain/justify ICly. The logical extension of this would be for SINners to pay taxes on the contract but not on the off-the-books loot (which is closer to how 6E handles SINner taxes). GM’s PC falls behind on loot income, which has potential OOC and IC ramifications. I’m probably more concerned with the OOC ones.

My personal preference is for #1 because of the OOC considerations. My thinking largely mirrors gilga’s.

There are only four of us, so I’ll open the floor for any proposals around house rules or anything else we want to handle differently moving forward.

I’m good with number 1. Just to keep things easier on multiple fronts.

Maybe assume that after starting the agency they had a celebration, downed a few too many beers, and then agreed to split everything evenly because it was too hard to define what was official pay and what was not?

Mato’s not really a drinker. His family history makes him avoid it, and his nephritic screen makes it pointless.

The split could have been a provision/mandate from the mysterious Sioux powers-that-be that put us together and established the agency. We haven’t explored those origins yet.

Or maybe we’re all commies who should be living at The Hostel. Who is to say.

Perhaps Mato was the sober one who kept asking practical questions that the others didn’t have good answers for, leading to the even split?

Not that we need to define how it happened.

In that case I vote for 1) – I’d assume our characters are by now at this stage to keep an eye on each other’s well being.

    Edit: Found Bobby’s sheet:
at the end of the month he has 15.400 Nuyen debt

After taxes his share amounts to 12.112 Nuyen.

So Bobby can reduce his debt down to 3.400 Nuyen, 112 go to money on hand

Not to tip my hand too much, but I went back to the recruitment thread to try to find the floor plans for our offices that Jack cooked up using HomeByMe. However, the image sharing service he used (Tinypic) has ceased operations, so the images he’s shared are gone.

I’m guessing that we all imagine our space a bit differently. I’m hoping we can discuss it a bit to reach a loose consensus, which might help in the coming Interlude which was in no way foreshadowed by Mato’s last IC post.

I’m thinking of this place like a rowhouse or a townhouse. Not necessarily in that it’s connected to its neighbors (it could be) but more that its construction is more vertical rather than sprawling out on big floors.

Ground/Bottom Floor – Garage (one car), entryway with stairs leading up

Middle Floor – Office/meeting room, kitchen, living room or dining room, bathroom

    Top Floor – Bedrooms, bathroom

For some reason I always think of the exterior as brick, although given the amount of brick in actual Redmond (very little) this isn’t terribly likely.

Someone would come up to the door on the sidewalk, get buzzed in, come up the stairs to be received and escorted into the office / conference room.

    What was everyone else thinking?

My initial thoughts had been an old commercial building ~3 stories high, stores on the ground level with offices converted into apartments above that. But then a garage and the story elements of being on the ground floor made a lot of sense, so I let that image go, and never really solidly replaced it with anything else.

I think that Jack’s design was more of a double story building with plenty of horizontal space- but I don’t mind a town house.

    @beta

What do you mean by “the story elements of being on the ground floor”? You lost me there.

I might have saved those images somewhere, but yes, it was a two story building with us on the second floor.

I had in mind an old workshop on the ground floor that is now used as garages and our business/living accomodations above where before only offices were.

Also I imagined the house for some reason with aluminum sidings 😉

@Tecumseh having our own door right onto the street makes for easier narrative flow than having our door onto a corridor, with outside being down common stairs. Attaches us to the neighborhood more.

And I also imagined aluminum siding for some reason. Maybe the area seemed too new for brick?

Nice, let’s work with that. Thanks for digging those up.

Is this 3 bedrooms or is that room on the bottom-left some sort of gym/bedroom hybrid? (The way Mato sleeps, he’d probably be fine with that.)

Looks like we’re sharing one bathroom. Should be good for some laughs.

We’ll go with aluminum siding for the exterior because that’s realistic.

I guess the only question would be what else is on the ground floor, since it’s more space than we’d need for a one-car garage. Run Faster is explicit that the base “garage” quality is only for one vehicle, and I’m trying to stay as close to the rules as possible.

I might open the OOC thread for the Interlude soon. Unless work goes sideways on me, I’ll probably kick off the IC thread on Thursday.

The gym is actually the laundry/dirt room – Bobby took that one, since he tends to come home dirty and in need of clothes.

As for the garage: I’d assume the other garage places are rented out to other people in the neighborhood (or maybe even converted to a smaller flat or a store).
